Après avoir montré de la qualité en plat, Cloth Of Gold s'est révélé pour son essai sur les obstacles, dans l'épreuve de référence du 27 juillet sur cette piste. Elle rendait deux kilos à la lauréate Albertine. Elle retrouve sa rivale avec trois kilos de moins cette fois, ce qui fait cinq kilos d'écart par rapport à leur dernière rencontre. Nobody de Choisel n'a pas mis longtemps à percer sur les balais, s'imposant dès sa deuxième tentative à Dieppe. Melting Moon dépend d'une maison toujours redoutable et était très chuchoté dernièrement. Pas de fumée sans feu...
