N'ayant pas connu la défaite en deux sorties, Brant arrive avec de sérieuses ambitions sur cette Breeder's Cup Juvenile et conduira donc l'opposition en compagnie d'Intrepido, un peu timide en débutant mais le poulain a remis les pendules à l'heure par deux fois et peut donc nourrir des prétentions. Sans avoir beaucoup de marge pour la victoire, Blackout Time reste en mesure de prendre un accessit, au même titre que Litmus Test, qui sait finir vite.
